Our Story
S4P Group was founded with a clear vision: to be a catalyst for positive and sustainable social and behavioral change across Uganda. We are a dedicated team of local experts deeply rooted in the communities we serve.
Our mission is to empower individuals and communities by designing and implementing evidence-based, human-centered interventions that address pressing societal challenges and unlock human potential. We strive to create a healthier, more informed, and resilient Uganda for all.

The Core of Our DNA
At S4P Group, “Human-Centered Design” isn’t just a buzzword; it’s the fundamental philosophy that underpins every project we undertake. We believe that the people we aim to serve hold the keys to effective and sustainable solutions.
Deep Listening and Empathy
We begin by immersing ourselves in the lived realities of our target audiences. Through qualitative research, ethnographic studies, and open dialogue, we seek to understand their perspectives, motivations, barriers, and aspirations.
Co-Creation is Key
We move beyond consultation to active co-creation. We bring community members, local leaders, health workers, youth, and other stakeholders to the table as equal partners in designing solutions. Campaigns like the “I’m Her Keeper” (ANC) and the strategies for the Egg Powder promotion were born from rich co-creation sessions.
Protoyping and Pre-testing
Whether a message, visual aid, community activity like “Malaria Spin-the-Wheel,” or digital tool. These prototypes are rigorously pretested with target audience members. This cycle ensures our interventions are appealing, understandable, culturally appropriate, and practical before full rollout.
Localised Solutions
An approach that works in West Nile might need adaptation for Karamoja or Busoga. We tailor interventions, like using “Sagala agalamidde” cultural drums for COVID-19 reminders in Buganda, ensuring local relevance and ownership.
Evidence Based
Our HCD process is complemented by proven SBC theories and frameworks. We craft messages and activities designed to influence knowledge, attitudes, beliefs, social norms, and ultimately, behaviors.
Community Engagement
We leverage existing community structures and trusted channels – from VHTs and LCs in the Egg Powder campaign to influential personalities for Mpox awareness and Boda Boda riders for Ebola sensitization. We believe in fostering collective responsibility, as seen in the “I Wash You Wash” campaign.
