Empowering Smallholder Farmers: Transforming Lives through Farmer Solution Centers

In Uganda, where 75% of the population relies on agriculture, smallholder farmers are the backbone of the economy. Despite their significance, these farmers face numerous challenges that hinder their potential. Enter the Farmer Solution Centers (FSCs), a transformative initiative designed to enhance smallholder farmers’ resilience and improve family well-being.

Originally launched by USAID/ICAN and now spearheaded by the S4P Group (Solutions for People) with guidance from the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industries, and Fisheries, these centers provide a one-stop shop for quality inputs, market access, and technical support. By connecting farmers with trusted Business Service Providers, FSCs are revolutionizing agricultural productivity and securing a sustainable future for Uganda’s farming communities.
